Sabor Madrileño (Neil Orman)
Sabor Madrileño (Neil Orman)

This film is about my experience with Madrilenos and their food. I enjoyed how people here take their time with their food, both in its preparation and its enjoyment. I was fascinated by the contrast between rich tradition and new cooking techniques. I was struck by how much Madrilenos love meat. More than anything I enjoyed the characters I met along the way, from the charismatic restauranter Lucio to the innovative chef Paco Roncero. The food is great here but characters like these are the reason I will definitely come back.

Neil Orman (EEUU, 1970) has more than 10 years of journalism experience. Summa Cum Laude from University of Texas at Austin. Masters of Fine Arts candidate. Some of his cinematographic works are: “Pals”, Official Selection Asheville’s Film Festival “Dotcommies Revisited” y “Loobey’s Cocoon”.

Interesting look at food--good job showcasing the city's best restaurants. This is the kind of thing I'd like to find when I'm planning a trip.
