ALEX DE LA IGLESIA, Jury President
Born in Bilbao, 1965, this Spanish film director is the current president of the Spanish Academy of Cinematograph Arts and Sciences. Though he’s got a Bachelor Degree of Philosophy in the University of Deusto, he preferred to make films and comics for living. His film debut came out in 1988 with the short film Mama, directed by Pablo Berger, and the feature film Todo por la pasta, directed by Enrique Urbizu in 1990. His first short, Mirindas Asesinas was a demonstration of his characteristic style:  comics aesthetics, bloody and brutal.

His filmography includes Mutant Action (1992), produced by Pedro Almodovar, The day of the beast (1995), Perdita Durango (1997), The Common Wealth (2000), 800 Bullets (2002) and Ferpect Crime (2004). His latest film is The Oxford murders and his next movie is in preproduction by the moment.
JAVIER FESSER
His latest film, Camino (2008) won six of its seven edition nominations for th Goya Awards 23rd Edition on February the 1st, 2009. Fesser has a long career as short films producer. He is happy to collaborate with Madrid Dares You project because "you always have something to learn."
FERRÁN ADRIÁ
He’s been considered for many years as the best chef in the world.  He is the chef and co-owner of El Bulli Restaurant. He has also received the highest culinary awards: three prestigious Michelin Guide stars and the honor of being considered as the best restaurant in the world during the years 2002, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
PACO RONCERO
In 1990 he made his first stage in Zalacaín and later at the Ritz Hotel. In 1991 he joined the staff of the Casino de Madrid becoming the head chef at the banquet department. In 1997 he achieved the second position in the Championship for Young Chefs of Madrid and the 3rd place in the Spanish Championship.
JOSE CASTRO
The Galician designer has presented his work for two consecutive seasons at the Cibeles Fashion Week. Besides designing his own prêt-à-porter collection, he serves as teacher at several designer schools. After three years working with Antonio Miró, in 2004 began to design for the Spanish company Desigual.
ALMA AGUILAR
The fashion company ALMA AGUILAR was born in 1998 due to the collaborative effort of Alma and his partner Fran. They created their first Prêt-à-Porter collection for the 1999 Spring-Summer Season. Aiming to produce a special and personal product, they reflect their soul expression in their work.
KIKE SARASOLA
Kike Sarasola has a multifaceted career as an athlete and businessman. During the Athens 2004 Olympic Games he suffered an injury that ended his career as a rider. As a result of this, he began on the business world. Today is the founder and director of the innovative chain Room Mate Hotels.
MIGUEL PALACIO
He started working together with Fernando Lemoniez in 1989. They created the "Palacio & Lemoniez” company. Since 2000 he began his individual career as "Miguel Palacio" presenting his collections at the Cibeles catwalk and creating a Brides line in collaboration with "Pronovias"
ELVIRA LINDO
After studying journalism in Madrid she made headway to the professional world working for radio, television, literature, theater and film. In addition to her newspaper columnist facet, she has written several books that had been translated to several languages. She currently lives between Madrid and New York.
FERNANDO DE GARCILLÁN PRIETO
After achieving the Graduate of Law, he studied an MBA. From then on he was focusing his professional career on the movies. He took part in over 40 films as producer, working with the best Spanish directors of the moment: Pilar Miró, Julio Medem, Berlanga, Fernando Trueba or Isabel Coixet.
